Image Story #3 ~ The Elbow of an Elephant

by nwadmin. Average Reading Time: less than a minute.

My name is Gabby – not because I talk a lot. I like to read.

When my family came to Africa it was to help people. We brought them books, food, medicine — I insisted we bring them pillows. Pillows are comforting.

This elephant is Elsie…she’s seventy-one years old. She’s super old but she still helps carry things from the villages. She can carry a lot of water and everyone here needs water most of all.

“Gabby? What are you doing in there?”

Uh oh, that’s my dad.

“Get over here, don’t you know we could get arrested if the Zoo guard caught you?”

My name is Gabby and I like to read.

Ahh, I love this! Gabby’s voice and the picture of the little girl are perfect for one another. I would believe anything she told me.
